Drostanolone is described as a steroid with strong anabolic and anti-estrogenic properties. However, the anabolic effect is mild, especially compared to other steroids.
Benefits & Effects of Masteron (Drostanolone) Enanthate
Drostanolone does not convert to estrogen and for that reason the use of an anti-estrogen is not necessary.
Even in sensitive individuals, problems such as gyno should not arise and fluid retention should not be a problem either.
In fact, drostanolone is often used for a hard, dry look.
Because drostanolone cannot aromatize, but can bind with the aromatase enzyme, it can partly act as an anti-estrogen, because there will be competition for binding with this enzyme.
Because drostanolone is not sensitive to the 5-alpha reductase enzyme, it makes no sense to use finasteride, for example.
Operation and dosage of Masteron (Drostanolone) Enanthate
However, Drostanolone Enanthate is not without potential side effects; oily skin, acne and extra hair growth are possible, especially at higher doses and also hair loss in men who are sensitive to it. In women, Masteron Enanthate can lead to a lower voice, clitoral enlargement, irregular periods and facial hair.
However, because the androgenic ratio to the anabolic ratio is lower than testosterone, the threshold value is higher when used.
In addition to side effects on appearance, there are also potential health effects.
Drostanolone is not known to be hepatotoxic and therefore will not cause liver damage.
However, because drostanolone does not aromatize, the effect on cholesterol will be stronger than that of e.g. testosterone or nandrolone, but a weaker effect than 17-AA (oral) steroids.
As with all steroids, drostanolone will suppress its own testosterone production.
Masteron-based cycles
Drostanolone is often combined with other steroids for a better effect. Think of nandrolone, testosterone and/or boldenone.
Masteron cycle: Drostanolone enanthate can be injected once a week due to its half-life. Some recommend once every 5 days. Dosages start at ~200 to 600mg per week, for 8 to 12 weeks. When women would like to use drostanolone, dosages of 50mg per week for 4 to 6 weeks are most common. Masculinization at doses below 100mg per week is uncommon.
Preferably, the propionate ester is then used.
